Cherry Crest Read-a-thon Begins!

Welcome to the Annual Cherry Crest Elementary PTSA Read-a-thon!
November 26th to December 1
The Read-a-thon is the second major Cherry Crest PTSA fundraiser of the 2019-2020 school year. It works like the Walk-a-thon held earlier in the year, except students read instead of walk. So, it’s like a Walk-a-thon for your brain!
Students gather sponsors to pledge money, read for one week over the Thanksgiving week, and earn prizes. Reading Logs and funds raised are to be turned in by first Friday of December.
The Read-a-thon is a fun school-wide event that encourages students to use the reading skills they develop in the classroom in a way that helps to raise funds to support important PTSA-sponsored programs like Curriculum Enhancement (field trips!!) and teacher aides (extra hands in the classroom!!).
So this is an important fundraiser for our students and we hope you’ll participate!!
