PTSA All School Ice Skating Party

On Monday November 11, when school is closed for a professional development day, Cherry Crest PTSA is hosting an all school ice skating party at the Kirkland Sno-King (aka Kingsgate Ice Arena).  All Cherry Crest students, siblings, and parents are invited to attend.  Ice skating will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and instructors will be on the ice to assist beginners.

 

PARENTS:  This is a family event.  A parent/guardian must be present for your child(ren) to attend.  Parents are expected to look after their children.

Cost is $7.00 per skater and will be collected at Sno-King.  Cash and credit cards (MC, VISA) are accepted at the door.  Ice skate rental is included in the price.  Please bring your own helmet (bike helmets ok).  You are also encouraged to bring your own ice skates if you have them.  A limited number of walkers will be available for skaters age 5 years and younger.

“Internet Safety” for ANY PARENTS during General PTSA Meeting

PTA Meeting 6:45 to 7pm, followed by speaker from 7-8pm

“Stefanie Thomas Hanley is an internet safety expert that has worked with law enforcement for the past 9 years regarding the exploitation of children online. She uses this experience to educate parents and children about internet safety and has reached over 30,000 in the greater Seattle area. The parent presentation covers: cyberbullying, social networking, online gaming, screen addiction and internet & cell phone safety tips.”

 

4th and 5th Grades Family Potluck

Meet your child’s new classmates and reconnect with friends at the potluck dinner!  Cherry Crest PTSA is hosting potluck dinners for each grade level and will supply paper products, water and dessert.  Families are asked to bring a salad, vegetable or main course that serves 6-8 people.  Store bought items welcome!  For home-made items please provide an ingredient list to help those with food allergies.  Questions?  E-mail Kathy Hotchkies at [email protected].
