Reading during the summer is important because it helps stop the Summer Slide.

This summer:

  • Make time for reading.
  • Make reading fun and enjoyable.
  • Let your child choose books that he/she enjoys.
  • Visit the public library.*
  • Click  here to fill out the reading log for the Lake Hills Jaguars Read During Summer Break he public libraries will re-open. To find books and other materials to read, some of the websites you can go to include Epic, RazKids, KCLS.org (the library website), and Newsela.

 

El leer durante el verano es importante porque ayuda a interrumpir el resbalón del verano.
