Students- we are excited to be welcoming new students to Tyee every week. Because we are growing we are also short on lockers. If you do not use your locker and do not need it for the rest of the year, please see Mrs. Schut and Mrs. Woodworth in the main office and let them know. We would like to hear from you by Wednesday of this week. Thank you!!

Hey everybody – Want to have some fun after school 3 days a week for the next few months?  Want to play a sport that you and your friends can enjoy together?  Want to join a group where you can learn new skills and highly successful strategies for winning?  Want to understand the importance of teamwork and feel what it’s like to work hard to accomplish our goals together?  Want to travel to 5 other middle schools and take on other teams at your grade level in some fun competition?  Well then – Volleyball is the team for you!  Volleyball starts next Tuesday, so if you want to learn more about our team, come to the first day of practice Tuesday in the gym after tutorial and bring your friends.  Coaches Pearson, Preston and Johnson are really looking forward to an exciting volleyball season – Go Thunderbirds!

  • We have Weekly Friday drawings where 5 students from each grade level choose a prize from the prize cart.  Don’t forget to turn your tickets in!
  • Students may save up for a 20-ticket trade-in.  Trade-ins will change up each month.
    • 20 ticket trade-ins for this month:
      1. Fast Pass in the Snack Line
      2. Lunch with the principals (we provide the food and the fun!)
      3. School Supply Goodies (spirals, pencils, highlighters, erasers and a pencil pouch)
      4. Team Tyee Lanyard
      5. Choose a 5 song music play list (of appropriate songs) for the next Friday’s lunch.

Illnesses!

We have many students and staff absences due to illness.  Please take good care of yourselves!  That means washing your hands with soap multiple times and day, and using hand sanitizer.  Cough and sneeze into your elbow.  If you are sick, please stay home so you do not spread illness further.  If you have a temperature you will have to be free of it for 24 hours before coming back to school.  We care about you and want you to be healthy!

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
