Here’s an important note for all players on our competitive badminton team.  Please come to Coach Pearson’s tutorial immediately after school today at the start of tutorial so that we can get our team organized and ready to get onto the bus to go to Odle for our match today.  Recreational badminton players will practice as normal in the community gym during activity time, but for competitive players – Do not go to any other tutorial – go directly to portable 2 at the start of tutorial.

Are you interested in participating in the Scripps Spelling Bee (spelling competition)?  New this year, Tyee will be holding a school spelling bee which will qualify a school winner to move on to the Scripps Spelling Bee King-Snohomish County Regional competition. The winner from Regionals advances to the national competition.  Our school’s competition will be in two phases:  a written qualifying exam on February 3 and the oral competition on February 10. Both will start around 4:35 pm at Tyee.  If you are interested, have your parent/guardian register you at the Tyee PTSA website:  http://tyeeptsa.org.  Registration is free, and the registration deadline is January 25.  More information can be found on the Tyee PTSA website home page in the News section.
