Time with BSD?  Sub for a few years, FTE in 2019-20

Favorite thing about your job: I love the variety. Every day is different and

I never know what to expect. The students and staff always keep it new and interesting.

If you could be an animal – what and Why? An octopus would be pretty great. There would be tons of cool stuff to look at underwater and eight arms would be fantastic.

American Diabetes Month – November 4th-10th National Diabetes Education Week

Fact: 1 in 11 people are living with Diabetes, 1 in 2 people living with Diabetes don’t know they have it. Type 1 Diabetes is a condition where your child’s pancreas produces little to no insulin. Without insulin, sugar builds up in the bloodstream, where if left untreated, can cause life-threatening complications. Could you spot the warning signs? Excessive thirst or hunger, frequent urination, fatigue, blurry vision, weight loss, and irritability are common symptoms experienced by children with Type 1 diabetes.

Looking Ahead

Covid19 and Avoiding Stigma  “Robbie The Riceball” was created by a high school student and her mother for the purpose of educating young children about coronavirus racism against Asian Americans. Since the start of the pandemic, Asians have been subject to increased attacks and harassment across the country. This animated video seeks to engage elementary school children to gain better awareness, think more critically about racism and tolerance, and hopefully reduce bullying incidents at school.                                                           Click on Image to watch à
