Cherry Crest Chronicler

September 1, 2023

Dear Cherry Crest Families,

Thank you to all who joined us for our first back to school event of the 2023-2024 school year! Our Meet and Greet was a great success. We enjoyed seeing many familiar faces, along with all of the new Chargers joining us for the very first time. We can’t wait to see you again on day one!

If you took photos at our “Photo Wall” you can send them to [email protected]. We’d love to have these featured in our main office on our TV display. Additionally, we may send them to our District communication team with your permission to be featured on BSD’s social media accounts or website. We love sharing our students with our community!

Please read the information below carefully. Hopefully I answer all of your questions about our first few days of the year. If not, you can always reach us using the contact information below. See you soon!

Feel free to contact me ([email protected]) or our amazing office Manager Connie Kramer ([email protected]) with any questions you may have!

Sincerely,

Erin Stedman, Principal Cherry Crest Elementary School

Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion at Cherry Crest.

Please refer to our District’s cultural calendar (linked HERE) for each month. At Cherry Crest, we aim to recognize the many celebrations, holidays, and heritages that make our world, community, and neighborhood so beautiful. If you’re interested in sharing your rich culture with us, please reach out as we’re always looking for ways to enrich our students’ experiences and for students to see themselves in our hallways and in our classrooms.

In September, we recognize Hispanic Heritage Month, which begins September 15th – October 15th. Many classrooms will read a variety of stories about Hispanic Americans, and we will create schoolwide displays that honor and recognize the Hispanic/Latinx culture.
