Reflection deadline is Wednesday, November 9th.

Here’s a tricky question for you that most people can’t answer – can you?  What sport is played by more people around the world than every other sport except soccer?  Here’s a hint for you – this sport has the fastest flying object in all of sports that can fly over 200 miles per hour.  Tough question, right?  The answer is badminton!  It’s so much fun that it’s enjoyed by millions of people around the globe.

And if you like playing badminton or want to learn how to play, I’ve got good news for you.

Tyee’s badminton team starts practice today!  That’s right, if you’re interested in playing badminton competitively or just for fun, come to the gym today right after tutorial, and you’ll meet our incredible coaching staff, learn about our longstanding tradition of district championships, and see how we set up our practices and matches to make it fun for everyone to play, no matter how much experience you have.  So if you want to play badminton this season, don’t miss this first day of practice today in the main gym.

Happy second quarter! Time for a fresh start and a fresh binder! Come to 8th grade AVID’s second Binder Blast tomorrow in room 2304 during tutorial! Get help from your local organization professionals and start the quarter right. All participants who successfully get organized will win a PRIDE slip for showing determination to succeed!

Attention Tyee Artists! It’s time for the Book Fair Poster Design Contest where you can help advertise the fair and enter to win a University Book Store gift card! Details about the contest are printed on flyers which can be found in the Library and in the main office. Final poster entries will be due November 22nd.

Also, Mrs. Hecht would like to remind you to return your overdue books this week, in order to avoid receiving an overdue/fine notice with your report card! If you have questions, please see Mrs. Hecht in the library.
