The red sections are the things that have been added based on new questions.

Thank you for all of your awesome questions!

• You only need to classes for 9th grade. You can complete the plan next year. The requirement for this year is to enter your 9th grade classes. It is optional if you want to complete all 4 years right now.

• Some people are reporting that they already have credits added to their plan when they log in. I am not sure why that is happening. Please try to remove them or just ignore that. You can fix everything in high school. Hopefully, these glitches will be fixed.

• Certain music classes are missing from the Fine Arts section – Sorry about that. You can add it under electives instead and adjust it when this glitch is fixed in high school.

• If you are not attending a BSD high school next year, then I would recommend that you complete your 4 year plan in Word or on paper so you can take it with you. You can input the classes from the high school you are planning to attend.

• The maximum credits per year is 7. You cannot add additional credits. You can revise this if needed. If you have tried to fix it and cannot, then please check with your high school counselor next year. (Some people seem to have some glitches with this.) Just do your best to get things set up correctly.

• If you are looking for a class and cannot find it, then add something that is close to what you desire to take – in the same section (CTE, SS, Math etc.). Hopefully, these errors will be fixed soon. You can revise this in high school. Please remember this is just a draft and can be fixed as these errors are fixed in Naviance. The hope is that all the classes will be added in the future.

• If you would like to add more credits to a certain section, for example science, you can add those additional classes to the Electives section.

• If you are taking high school level classes in middle school, then you cannot add them to your 4 year plan at this time. I hope this is revised in the future.

• If you have questions about high school graduation requirements visit this link. https://bsd405.org/about/resources/graduation-requirements/. You are not required to take Art or CTE classes in 9th grade, but most students choose to do so in order to meet graduation requirements.

• If you cannot remember what you actually registered for in 9th grade, you will be able to check that in the fall when schedules are set. You can make revisions to your 4 year plan at that time if needed.

• For right now, you only need to complete this plan for your 9th grade year. You are also free to work ahead and add more classes for your 10th-12th grade years.

• If you have more high level questions about AL or specific 11th or 12th grade courses, please ask your high school counselor more about that next year.

• You do not need to save the plan when you are finished, as it will save automatically.

• You cannot enter classes more than once on your plan.

• In high school electives are different from CTE and Art credits. CTE and Art have to be selected from a specific list of classes. Electives can be any class–Arts, CTE, Science. You can add classes there that exceed  the requirement in other areas. For example, if you have 3 math credits, but plan to also take an extra year of math (for most of you that will be the case in 12thgrade and is highly recommended), then you can add that extra year of math to electives.
