Today is Friday, April 26th.

Please stand for the pledge of allegiance, Vikings. (wait 4 seconds)

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. (wait 3 seconds)

We learn and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.

Hey Vikings! Do you like pizza? Do you like supporting your community? If you like both, donating to the food drive we’re having here at Odle might be the right choice. This food drive will run from April 29 to May 6 and the 7th period class that donates the most amount of food will get a pizza party! And all donated food will be given to Hope Link to support our local community! Check the flyers that will be handed out later for more information regarding the food drive and remember to drop off your donations in the crates in your 7th period classes.

The BSD Mental Health Assistance Team is happy to present the opportunity for your families to attend a High and Middle School Parent Information Night on childhood stress and anxiety. Your families will have a chance to learn about causes of and supports for childhood anxiety and about how to access help within BSD. The presentation will be held on on May 1st from 7-8PM at Bellevue High School. Spanish and Chinese interpreters will be available for the evening of the event.

Did you know that there are more than 104 different home languages spoken by students? The Bellevue School District is one of the most linguistically diverse in the state! The 2024 “Why Learn Languages Competition” sponsored by Washington Association for Language Teaching is now accepting submissions and the deadline is April 30, 2024. If you are learning any world languages or your home language is not English, you are eligible to compete in this competition. The contestants need to either write an essay in English or the target language on the prompt: “Language is My Superpower” or make a talent show video representing the target language and culture. Please submit your work to www.whylearnlanguages.org before April 30, 2024. Winners may earn both a certificate and prize money!  If you have any questions, ask a World Language teacher!
