January 5, 2024 – NHE Family Newsletter

Valued Newport Heights Families,

Happy New Year!  I hope you had a wonderful and restful winter break filled with many celebrations and milestones for the New Year.  We are off to a fast start here at NHE with our students engaged in their learning with the leadership of our wonderful staff.

MLK Assembly

You are all invited to attend our student-led assembly honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King.  The assembly will be on Thursday, January 11th from 1:30pm to 2:10pm in our cafeteria.

Parking Lot Reminder

When dropping off and picking up your students, please remember to slow down.  Even with supervision and posted signs in our parking lot we have observed many vehicles still speeding through.  Please remember to be mindful of the safety of our students and all of us in the NHE school community.  We all need your support to keep us safe.

Coffee With The Principals

We will hold our coffee with the principals on Thursday, January 25th from 8:15-9:15 at our NHE cafeteria.  Please sign in at the office when you arrive.  It is an opportunity to meet our administrative team, ask questions, and share your experiences.  We hope you can join us.  RSVP is not required.

BSD School Board Visits NHE

The BSD School Board will be visiting NHE on Tuesday, January 16th.  The Board will hold a listening session with parents from 8am-8:30am at NHE.  This is an opportunity to meet the Board, ask questions, and learn more about BSD from them as well.  If you would like to attend in-person, please sign in during the morning of the 16th and our office staff will direct you to the location in our building.  RSVP is not required.  If you are unable to attend in person but would like to participate virtually, please click on the meeting link below.
