March 25, 2024 – NHE Community Newsletter
Message from your Admin Team
As we welcome spring, we are filled with a sense of optimism and renewal. Springtime serves as a poignant reminder of the beauty of growth and the promise of new beginnings. It is a season that inspires us to embrace change and to nurture the seeds of possibility within our hearts and minds.
We believe wholeheartedly in the power of forming strong relationships to support our students on their educational journey. We recognize that every interaction, whether in the classroom or in the community, plays a vital role in shaping the experiences and outcomes of our students. It is through the bonds of trust, respect, and collaboration that we can create an environment where every student can feel valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
As we reflect on the first month of working together in service of our community, we are filled with gratitude for the dedication, passion, and commitment of each and every member of our Newport Heights family. We would also like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks to each member of our community for your unwavering support and dedication.
In partnership,

Important Information
SAFETY REMINDERS for drop-off and pick-up:
- Please keep the crosswalks clear, do not stop your car on crosswalks. We have kids in strollers, on bikes, scooters, and walkers who we want to keep safe and allow a clear path to cross.
- Please drive slowly and come to a COMPLETE stop at the back crosswalk. For the safety of our walkers and patrol, this is very important. You are also setting a good example for our students about what good and safe driving looks like.
- At morning drop-off, please pull all the way forward (to the playground area) before letting your child out. This allows more cars to get through the drop-off line more efficiently. Please DO NOT let your child out of the car before the parking lot crosswalk. It is unsafe for your child and it causes a slow down with the drop-off flow.
- WE APPRECIATE YOU FOLLOWING ALL OF THESE SAFETY REMINDERS! Keeping our students and families safe is of utmost importance.
- The Bus lane is for buses ONLY. During arrival and dismissal, please keep the bus lane clear of cars so our buses are able to drop off/pick up our students and stay on schedule. Thank you!
- Breakfast is available to NHE students every morning, starting at 7:40am. We currently have an average of 30 students each morning, but in order to continue this important program at NHE we need to average 42 students. Please take advantage of breakfast at NHE!
Korean Program Update
안녕하세요 Dolphin families!
The Korean Bilingual program is coming to NHE for incoming kindergarteners in the 2024-2025 school year. This is a substantial addition to our educational offerings, as learning a heritage language provides numerous benefits far beyond the mere ability to communicate in a different language. Not only will it promote a positive sense of identity, but it will also cherish and embrace cultural and linguistic diversity. Preparations are underway for its smooth launch, and we are truly thrilled to welcome this meaningful program to our school.
Applications are now open! For questions, please contact [email protected]
For application Incoming kindergarten students can learn more and apply here.
