Elective Fair

Students will be given ample time during the school day to visit elective teachers in person to learn about course details. Information videos will be available for some classes.

Digital SAT

Newport is offering the Digital SAT here on campus, free to any of our 11th grade students.

We are offering some flexibility in the testing date, but all testing happens during the school day the week of April 1st-April 5th.

Remember, April 5th also marks the close of 3rd Quarter as well.

Q:  Will there be other opportunities to take the SAT?                 In October 2024, we will provide another opportunity for any current 11th grader to take the SAT.  If that seems like a better opportunity for you, you can wait until then.

Q:  Will I get accommodations?

SAT and College Board has their own approval process. If you have approved college board accommodations (a process you would have already completed with your counselor or case

manager), you will get accommodations.  If you have questions about that, you can ask your counselor.

Knights in Vienna!

The Newport Orchestra Program would like to invite you to attend Knights in Vienna, a night of waltz music and dancing at our annual fundraiser! Knights in Vienna will feature live music by the Newport orchestras, dance instruction, and guest performances. In addition, there will be plenty of fabulous food and gourmet desserts to enjoy! All of the money raised will go to support the Newport Orchestra program for things like sectional coaching, financial aid for trips, and instrument maintenance.
