Hi students, leadership is reminding you about Smarter Balanced testing starting today. Remember to get lots of sleep tonight and be on time to 1st period tomorrow with your laptop and charger.

Smarter Balanced testing is this week. On some parts of the test you need to use headphones, please remember to bring your own headphones from home. If you don’t have them we will provide them for you.

Wireless headphones cannot be used on the test, so please plan to bring headphones with a cord.

The Library will be closed before school, during lunch, and after school for testing on Monday, May 6 through Friday, May 10. Also, after school Study Zone will be canceled during the week of testing. Mr. Tripp will be available in the Main Office for Tech Support at lunch during the week of testing.

Angelina Kam.  See Ms. Losi in room 119 to arrange for your prize.

The new Problem of the Month for May is up on the window outside room 119.  All students are eligible to enter.  Copies of the problem are available in the basket inside the room.

ASB is hosting another dance on Friday, May 24 from 6-8pm in the gym. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased before school, during lunch, or at the dance. The March social was super fun and we are so excited to have another dance before the school year ends! Having fun school events like a dance is a privilege that is open to all students. To be able to attend the dance, you must follow behavior expectations at school. The following behaviors will prevent you from being able to attend the dance:

  • 6 or more unexcused tardies
  • Skipping a class
  • A referral to the assistant principals

This expectation is in effect from May 6 until the afternoon of the dance.

The next event from Odle Smash Bros, the video game culture club, is called Fanart and Freeplay and it is happening this Thursday, May 9th at 4pm. There will be a fanart contest and Super Smash Bros Ultimate to play in room 207. The theme for the art contest is “Standarized Testing” so you can show what your favorite character would look taking the SBA. For more details, see the posters outside room 207 or ask Ms Jelacic. See you Thursday, May 9th at 4pm!

Today’s lunch is fish and chips.

Have a great day everyone!
