Today is Thursday, February 8th.

Please stand for the pledge of allegiance, Vikings. (wait 4 seconds)

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. (wait 3 seconds)

We learn and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.

Do you want to learn more about an elective that can empower you to achieve your goals? If so, come to an AVID Informational Session occurring 2/9 and 2/12 during 1st period. See your counselor by Friday to receive an invite to learn more about AVID!

Join us TONIGHT for our World Languages Cultural event in the Commons at 5:00 PM.  In addition to Flamenco dance, dragon dance, and Kungfu performances we will have the honor of listening to:

  1. Odle students Yolanda Ji and Ivy Zheng singing pop songs in Chinese.
  2. Chinese Pipa Musician Ms. Carrie Wang and her students performing Pipa. Pipa is one of the most popular Chinese instruments and has been played for almost two thousand years in China.
  3. You will also be listening to French songs by French guitarist, composer and educator Cyrille Gosselin. Cyrille is the founder of Goss Productions Music School taking students from the teaching studio to performing live in main Seattle music venues.

Looking forward to seeing you in the commons TONIGHT at 5:00 PM for an event with performances, food, and activities.

Coach O’Neill and the Volleyball team want YOU to know that you can now buy a Carnation gram to be delivered to friends or someone you admire and appreciate during 7th period on Valentine’s Day February 14th! Send a flower with a tag to a teacher, a friend or anyone you think should feel appreciated! You can buy 1 for $3, 2 for $5 or 5 for $10. Pay in cash, by check, or with a card in the main office during lunches, before or after school.

Looking around the school, you may have noticed the Rainbow Viking signs by the door of every classroom and staff office. For next year, Odle would like to feature student art, so we’re asking for your help. If you would like us to feature your art on next year’s Door Signs, please stop by the office to pick up an entry form, and return it to the office by the end of school, Friday  2/16/24.
