Women’s History Month Special: Susan B. Anthony worked for more than 50 years for women’s rights, Anthony never got to legally vote. She died on March 13, 1906, 14 years before the 19th amendment gave all women the right to vote. But the representatives of Congress—almost all men—who approved the amendment understood who was responsible for this historic moment, and the legislation was known as the “Anthony Amendment.” And in 1979, Anthony became the first woman to be on a U.S. coin, the silver dollar.

Football Game: Shout outs to Bianca on the 6th grade team for a 60 year break away touchdown, to Barrett on the 7th and 8th grade team for 3 long reception touchdowns, and to Hayden and Matteo who both made phenomenal defensive plays in the final seconds to help secure the win!

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
