Come to our World Languages Culture Night event at 5pm on February 8th, and enjoy a flamenco dance!! For those of you who have never heard of that word before, Flamenco  is a song, music and dance style that originated in southern Spain, and has become one of the icons of Spanish music and even Spanish culture in general. The performer’s name is Rachel. She is from Seattle and started flamenco at 14 because it combined tap, jazz, blues, and had excellent music and costumes. She’ll be dancing an alegrías /ah  leh  gree  ah/ (meaning joy) with a mantón de Manila / mahn tohn deh muh nih luh/ (large embroidered shawl). Hope to see you on February 8th so you can enjoy this wonderful performance!
