Good Morning Vikings!

Today is Thursday, September 2nd, 2021. Thank you for a fantastic first day of school.

Stand for the pledge of allegiance, Vikings. (wait 3 seconds)

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. (wait 3 seconds)

We pause to acknowledge that Odle Middle School resides on the traditional and occupied land of the Coast Salish Peoples – past, present, and future. We honor their connection to the region, pay respect to Coast Salish Elders past and present, and stand in solidarity through their struggles.

You may have gotten a small blue piece of paper yesterday that says OARRS. Students earn OARRS for being respectful, responsible, and safe. You can enter to win prizes by putting your OARRS into the raffle boxes outside the main office. There are three rotating prizes and one BIG prize every 2 to 3 weeks. Make sure you put your first AND last name on your OARRS, otherwise it will be discarded during the raffle drawing!

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
