We pause to acknowledge that Odle Middle School resides on the traditional and occupied land of the Coast Salish Peoples – past, present, and future. We honor their connection to the region, pay respect to Coast Salish Elders past and present, and stand in solidarity through their struggles.

After school Study Zone has been moved from the library to room 117, Ms.Thomas’, during this week, due to the Scholastic Book Fair. Ms. Bahini will be there to work with students that need homework help from 3:20 – 4:40. We are limited to 30 students in the room. So, if you need help, come early!

Odle 8th graders, if you will go to Interlake High School in September 2022 and have registered Chinese, French and Spanish as the world language elective course at Interlake, please register for the Language Placement Test. Test information and the registration link have been sent to your school email box last week by Interlake High School. The deadline to register will be April 26, 2022.

ASB is hosting a spring fling dance on Friday, May 13 from 6-8pm in the gym. Tickets are $10 if you have not paid the ASB fee. If you have paid this fee, tickets are $5 and can be purchased before school, during lunch, or at the dance. You can check if you have paid this fee by going to the Odle website and clicking “Pay Fees and Fines.” Tickets are free for students on free and reduced lunch. Tickets are not refundable. There will be snacks and drinks, an area to play board games, and a DJ. ASB is so excited to have a dance to celebrate 4th quarter. We are looking forward to the upcoming dance and want everyone to have the opportunity to attend. Having fun school events like a dance is a privilege that is open to all students. To be able to attend the dance, students must follow behavior expectations at school. Students who are unable to show that they can follow school expectations of being Respectful, Responsible, and Safe will lose their opportunity to participate and purchase a ticket. The following behaviors will prevent students from being able to attend the dance:

  • 6 or more unexcused tardies
  • Skipping a class
  • A referral to the assistant principals

This expectation is in effect from today until the afternoon of the dance.

There will be no Fiber Club this Thursday. Fiber Club will return on Thursday, May 5th.

Attention students! Odle has joined the City of Bellevue’s event this week called SchoolPool. This week is all about encouraging students to walk or bike to school, or carpool with friends and neighbors! Not only is this better for our planet, it also helps immensely with the car traffic in our parking lot, which in turn helps school buses drop off and pick up students on time. Today you will receive some fun materials from the City of Bellevue to teach you more about sustainable daily habits and encourage you to take care of your planet! 2nd period teachers – please distribute the materials you received in a box from leadership before your class leaves for 3rd period.

Today’s lunch is Baja fish tacos with cilantro lime slaw.

Have a great day everyone!

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
