Hello Odle Families,
Washington students take state and federal tests regularly to assess their learning growth as well as the progress of the educational system as a whole.
All Odle students will take the Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) in English Language Arts and Math during the weeks of May 6th and May 13th, respectively. On testing days Odle will run a modified bell schedule to accommodate the testing periods. This schedule will be posted on the Odle website in the coming days.
Smarter Balanced assessments are Washington’s statewide summative assessments in English Language Arts and math. Summative assessments determine students’ progress toward college and career readiness in English Language Arts/Literacy and Math.
Current 8th graders will also take the Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS) during the week of May 28th. The Washington Comprehensive Assessment of Science (WCAS) measures the level of proficiency that Washington students have achieved based on the Washington State 2013 K-12 Science Learning Standards
