Mistie Hammer, Senior Ecosystem Specialist

Mistie Hammer is a Senior Ecosystem Specialist who supports the environmental permitting and construction of Sound Transit’s light rail projects. This includes East Link, which she’s been working on since 2016 and is excited to commute on someday. An Issaquah native, Mistie realized her interest in fish after volunteering at the local salmon hatchery and despite the horrible smell that returning spawning salmon bring, it led her to her degree in Aquatic and Fishery Science from the UW. Prior to joining Sound Transit, Mistie spent 10 years at King County working on local salmon recovery and supporting large transportation projects, followed by eight years at an engineering consulting firm in Bellevue – HDR Inc.

Ryan Lescouflair, Senior Engagement Specialist

Ryan is the Senior Engagement Specialist working on the East Link project, where he manages relationships with Bellevue neighborhoods and businesses during the construction of light rail through the city. He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Scranton. Ryan comes from a family of engineers, so was interested in infrastructure from an early age, but found that community outreach was a better match for him than engineering. His favorite part of his job is when he can find a win for homeowners or ‘the little guy’ during challenges that arise from construction.
