Welcome to the BSD Special Education Dept. & Bellevue Special Needs PTA’s 2023 Family Resource Series:

Our sensory systems are vital in taking in and processing all the information about the world around us. While many of us process and integrate this information effortlessly in order to manage and accomplish daily tasks, many of our students achieve these tasks and skills by receiving more or less sensory inputs. Please join us in this family-focused session where attendees will learn about sensory processing strategies both at home & at school. Presenting on this topic will be Occupational Therapists Diane Knoll and Katherine Legros. Diane Knoll is the Founder/CEO of Cascadia Therapy Services. Cascadia Therapy Services is a consulting & therapy business for those seeking support for sensory processing challenges.  Katherine Legros works as an Occupational Therapist in BSD and has experience working with students of all ages, both in the classroom as well as in the community, and collaborates with a variety of school staff to support student access to school or job site.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
