Beginning this month, all BSD bus cancellations, delays and updates will be shared directly through the Edulog Parent Portal, the district’s transportation information platform. Families who would like to receive notification about impacts to their bus routes, must sign up for Edulog. Specific route cancellations, delays and updates will not be shared routinely through direct district emails, text messages, robo calls or social media. However, districtwide messages will continue to be sent at the district’s discretion, as needed. In addition, all route cancellation information is posted on the transportation webpage.

Beginning in January 2024, all BSD bus cancellations, delays and updates will be shared directly through the Edulog Parent Portal, the district’s transportation information platform. Families who would like to receive notification about impacts to their bus routes, must sign up for Edulog. Specific route cancellations, delays and updates will not be shared routinely through direct district emails, text messages, robo calls or social media in the new year. However, districtwide messages will continue to be sent at the discretion of the district, on an as-needed basis.

The Edulog Parent Portal provides an efficient student transportation resource management tool allowing families to receive more timely messages that impact student safety, ridership and routing. For students or families unable to acquire access to the smartphone app, the district will contact families through text message using the Talking Points platform in their preferred home language to ensure all families have equal access to information. Additionally, a route cancellation link will be added to the BSD transportation page listing service impacts.

For the past several months many Bellevue School District families have been receiving information about bus route cancellations through direct emails from the district, text messages and robo calls. We extend our gratitude to our learning community for their continued understanding of the challenges resulting from a nationwide school bus driver shortage. We are pleased to be able to report that with your support, the district has been able to onboard additional drivers and expects to decrease the number of transportation interruptions in the new year.

Access the Edulog Parent Portal

The Bellevue School District provides families with access — through the free Edulog Parent Portal smartphone app — to information about their student’s bus stop times and locations, real time information about the location of school buses, and notifications about when the bus is about to arrive. A single registration allows families to access information for all of their students. Contact BSD Transportation via email at [email protected] or call 425-456-4512 for information or assistance. Students not assigned to a bus route who would like to receive information about a non-assigned route, may contact transportation to also be added to the Edulog Parent Portal.

Here are five steps to get started with the Edulog Parent Portal:

  1. Review the Edulog Parent Portal Getting Started video and view the Parent Portal Frequently Asked Questions.
  2. Download the app on the iTunes store or Google Play. Search for “Edulog Parent Portal” and choose the app with the white bus on the teal background.
  3. Enter the information for your student/s.
  4. View your student/s bus stop time and location.
  5. Locate your school bus stop and receive alerts.

The Bellevue School District acknowledges that we learn, work, live and gather on the Indigenous Land of the Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Duwamish and Snoqualmie Tribes. We thank these caretakers of this land, who have lived and continue to live here, since time immemorial.
