Youth Eastside Services (YES) is hosting a free event from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on June 4 for parents and guardians on facilitating conversations around the second season of Netflix’s “13 Reasons Why.” The event will also offer resources to engage with students on the topics of suicide, depression, and anxiety as well as how the Eastside community and schools are responding.

The event will include four panelists: YES counselor Michelle Brode, Megan Kennedy from the University of Washington who has been developing a comprehensive suicide prevention plan, Matt Gillingham Director of Student Services at Lake Washington School District, and Renee Jones and Cailyn Griffith from the Crisis Clinic.
