Epinephrine Autoinjector Shortage
The shortage of epinephrine autoinjectors which started last spring has continued to impact families getting ready for the start of the school year. Mylan’s brand EpiPen are having manufacturing delays, and brands from Impax Laboratories are having manufacturing issues. Kaleo’s AUVI-Q brand is not in short supply, and is readily available. We recommend that parents/guardians work with their healthcare provider and insurance companies to determine all options available. You can also reach out to the companies at the information provided below, as they may be able to support you by finding local pharmacies with medication in stock, or provide coupons to support the purchase of their brand:
Company Information
Impax Laboratories 877-99-Impax (46729) option 2
Kaleo 877-30-AUVIQ (28847)
Mylan 800-RXMYLAN (796-9526)
