High School Athletes Should Get Sports Physicals Now for Participation in 2020-21

Students wishing to participate in high school athletics must have a current physical on file (every two years) in order to participate in any in-person summer or fall activities that your student’s high school may be able to safely offer in the weeks and months ahead.

If your family doctor is taking appointments now, and your student does not have a current physical on file with the Athletic Director (valid for two years), please schedule the appointment soon and email an electronic scan of the sports physical to your high school’s Athletic Director’s office.

If you are having difficulty getting an appointment, Virginia Mason Bellevue is offering dedicated days this summer to help BSD families get sports physicals and immunizations for their students who need them on July 23, August 2, and August 15. Most insurance plans are accepted. Email BackToSchool@VMMC.org for specific payment/billing questions.) Additionally, International Community Health Services in Bellevue is offering appointments for Sport Physicals this summer. Contact them directly at 425-373-3000 for information.

Questions? Contact Andrea Arnone at the district Athletics and Activities office.

Did You Participate in a Fall Sport? Provide Your Feedback

Students participating in Fall Season high school athletics programs, along with their parents or guardians, are encouraged to complete a BSD High School Sports Survey. Surveys are used by the BSD Athletics & Activities Department to evaluate all aspects of athletic programs and to identify areas for improvement, provide meaningful goals and guide professional development for our coaching staff.
