A Note from the Administration

Chhoun Mey, Principal

Stephanie Mathias, Assistant Principal

Dear Wilburton Families and Parents,

Our staff and I are extremely excited to start this school year by welcoming back our students to a full day of learning. Just as important, we also know that with the continue rise of COVID-19 infection rate, particularly among kids, we know that there is some apprehension around sending back students to a full day of school that also includes partaking in lunch. Our staff have been busy putting together a school safety plan that includes mitigating measures to prioritize the safety of all our students, families, and staff members.

Please do reach out to me, Stephanie or other staff members with any questions or concerns you might have.

In Partnership,

Chhoun Mey

Stephanie Mathias

Teacher Meet and Greet (Updated)

Teacher Meet and Greet (Update – change of format and times)

Due to the increasing COVID infection rates in our area we will be moving our Teacher Meet and Greet event to our soccer field on August 30th. We will also be assigning specific times for families to come and meet teachers. Families can expect to come through the east gate near the playground structure to access the field. We are asking families to limit their time to no more than 15 minutes to avoid any potential crowding. We will be placing tables with teacher names on them and placing them on the field. Please remember to wear masks and to physical distance when possible.

Below are the time slots for the Teacher Meet and Greet event:

Kindergarten and 1st Grade – 12:00-1:00

2nd Grade – 1:00-2:00

3rd Grade – 2:00-3:00

4th Grade and 5th Grade– 3:00-4:00

If families have multiple students attending Wilburton, please reach out to individual teachers to make arrangements for a quick meet and greet with teachers outside the schedule listed above.

When families are leaving our Teacher Meet and Greet event, our PTA is generously passing out an ice cream or popsicle to teach student to enjoy on their way home.
