Congratulations to Odle Middle School students Ishan Bansal, Eric He, Neil Chowdhury, Eric Liu, and Clarance Zheng for their win at the National Science Bowl, held April 26-30 in Washington, D.C. In addition to being named the 2018 National Champions, they were also awarded $1000 for Odle’s Science Department by the U.S. Department of Energy.

Forty-eight middle school teams around the USA participated in the fast-paced question and answer format to solve technical problems and answer questions on a range of science disciplines including biology, chemistry, earth and space science, physics, and math.

Odle’s team was coached by Rina Chowdhury with the guidance from Interlake High School teacher Michael O’Byrne.
