Mission
The mission of the Bellevue School District Communications Department is to share factual and timely messages that serve all community members with accessible information through a transparent and dynamic communications process across all BSD media channels.
We strive to communicate the lived experiences of our learning community through stories that reflect and value one another’s humanity and. provides courageous support to affirm and inspire a sense of belonging.

As a values-driven Communications Department, we strive to embody our shared purpose each and every day, in every interaction, between and among our school community. To that end, we’ve identified the following values to guide our work in the way we prioritize our energies and efforts, how we make decisions, and ultimately how we serve our students and each other:

You’re Invited: Athletics & Activities Community Forums
The Athletic and Activities Department would like to invite all interested community members to open forums during the 2016-17 school year. The forums are intended to be educational opportunities for parents and athletes that will be specific to middle and high school athletics and activities.
School Board Approves Elementary 18 Resolution
At the August 30, 2016 meeting, the Bellevue School District board adopted Resolution No. 16-08. The resolution establishes the Elementary 18 attendance area, middle school and high school feeder pattern, as well as the transition plan for students impacted by these changes.

District Response to Local Levy Issue and Teacher Salaries
On July 19, 2016, Randy Dorn, State Superintendent of Public Instruction, filed a complaint with King County Superior Court challenging the state-wide practice of using local levy funds for staff salaries. Our district was one of seven listed as a defendant in this lawsuit.
